My name is Alisha, and that’s me in the top right corner, not to be confused with Felicia or Alicia. My mama almost named me Samantha (I think she wanted to call me Sam) until my grandmother put a stop to that. Big ups to Granny! At some point during college my name was shortened to Lish (Leesh), Tillery or Till(s) and it stuck. I answer to any of those, including “Wook” (my daddy’s nickname) and Li (Lei).
In a nutshell, I’m 29 years old, single and childless. I hate almost anything that has more legs than I do, give or take a few puppies, rollercoasters and people with no sense of humor. I love to laugh. It’s a requirement for daily living. I love GOD, my family, friends, writing, music and Martin. I think I was an actress in another life because I can quote #randommoviequotes from just about any black themed movie (try me!). I might be the only person alive with old VHS tapes of Video Soul and Yo! MTV Raps and A Different World episodes.
I’m tall and have been all of my life. I’m slim and have been all my life. I’m finally comfortable enough in my own skin that I hope that doesn’t change too much. I hope to marry and have a family, but I don’t obsess over it.
I attended public school and graduated from THE BEST UNIVERSITY in the whole world, Southern University A&M College. I also managed to finally graduate from LSU for graduate school. I’m a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, also. What do I do to make a living? Depends on what day you ask. I’m a Jamaican of sorts. I work full-time, freelance write and teach college speech classes part-time. I’m currently comtemplating on whether or not to protect my tweets from my students this semester.
I don’t think there’s too much else to share that won’t be covered in the rest of this challenge, so that’s it! Any other questions can be answered in my Formspring.
